The protest by the Nigerian people against the removal of petroleum subsidy has got many sides to the story. While the government is counting it's losses due to the shut down of the countries economy, some others see the strike action as a national holiday and an opportunity for them to interact with musicians and other elites from all walks of life whom they only see on TV. On the other hand, hoodlums have taken control of the situation using it as an avenue to commit crime leading to an almost breakdown in law and order in some areas.
