The protest by the Nigerian people against the removal of petroleum subsidy has got many sides to the story. While the government is counting it's losses due to the shut down of the countries economy, some others see the strike action as a national holiday and an opportunity for them to interact with musicians and other elites from  all walks of life whom they only see on TV. On the other hand, hoodlums have taken control of the situation using it as an avenue to commit crime leading to an almost breakdown in law and order in some areas.
The police in Ogba area of Ikeja had  brutally beat and shot a young man identified as Ademola Aderinde who was just playing football on the streets during the strike. Please do not continue reading if you cannot stand the gruesome picture
of the murdered young man. The Lagos governor has immediately ordered the arrest and prosecution of the trigger happy cops despite reports that the area police station is under attack by an angry Lagos mob.
