Introduing Mr Tavian

Tavian Oladapo the UK born soulful Nigerian musician moved to Nigeria at the age of 6 where he was educated. In 1984 Tavian moved to the United States where he joined a number of bands before moving back to the UK in 1985.
Tavian was signed to Polydor records as part of rock group “hysteria” who went on to record a creditable version of the
Hendrix classic” purple haze" in 1987.
Tavian also worked with producers like Charlie Skarbek and Tim Smith who produced the European hit “midnight blue” for Louise tucker in the 1980’s.
Through the early 90’s he continued to work doing back up vocals for the likes of the English actress /model “Twiggy” and Alisha Warren, sister of Mica Paris.  Tavian also worked on potential cartoons for the BBC in the UK.He also worked with producers like “Yak Bondy” who wrote maybe for “Emma Bunton” of the spice girls.He also worked with hit producer, Steve Mac who has worked with the likes of Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, Westlife, Boyzone, Gareth Gates, and Toni Braxton, Tavian provided the vocals for the underground hit"we can ride the boogie" by bubbles which was produced by Steve mac and James Anthony.
Tavian also featured on “I don’t wanna be a part of you “by Resistance featuring Danny which was a minor hit in the 1990’s written and produced by Steve Mac.
Tavian met creative partner Jon Vears through a mutual friend, and decided to form the songwriting partnership called "Not The Norm Music" as part of the “RISE ENTERTAINMENT”project
On the 29th of June 2006, one of their compositions entitled “17 heartaches” was profiled on
an entertainment website. This development led to Tavian being contacted by steve Hogan of concord artist international and he was subsequently offered an opening slot with Keisha White on her regional tour.
Tavian and Jon Vears continue to write new material and Jon has worked on tracks like “I love the way u lie”by Rihanna and Eminem,”Airplanes by B.O.B,”Im comin home “by P diddy and Skylark Grey,”castle walls”by T.I and Christina Aguilera.Jon is also working with hit,hip hop producer,”Alex da kidd”.Tavian is now looking to launch the Nigerian arm of RISE ENTERTAINMENT .
