For missing the tuesday deadline to report to camp for preparations for the final Group B match qualifiers for the 2012 African cup of nations qualifier, Chelsea and super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi has been fined $5000 for not reporting early to camp on schedule.
The team has already started training at the Abuja
camp and the chelsea midfielder was notably absent. Obi had called Super Eagle officials to inform them that he will resume camp on monday because he needs to address some pressing family matters.
Publicity manager of the Super Eagles say officials are not impressed with the player's absence hence the fine.
