Hennessey artistry is a means of celebrating talents in various fields of life but has gradually evolved into a musical event. The 2011 edition will take place later in August after a press conference by the company.
Hennessey artistry was introduced to Nigeria in 2007 with a cocktail mixing contest for bartenders. In 2008, it became a contest for Nigerian Djs and in 2009 it was a competition for upcoming Nigerian musical
acts that included Mo’ Cheddah, Ice Prince, Blaise, and Bez with Ice prince emerging as the winner.
The 2010 edition saw previous winner Ice Prince composing a song called "Like A Bottle" with other Nigerian artistes like Nneka, M.I, Sir Shina Peters and Bez. The song was produced by Kas and a musical video was shot by Clarence Peters.The climax for the 2010 edition was a concert at the Get Arena in Lagos, Nigeria.
The 2011 edition will be a bigger achievement better than that of 2010 say the Country manager. He said the Hennessy Artistry event this year will be a unique blend of sound, visual innovation and the premium Hennessy cognac experience.
